Industrial automation parts often have close model variations. A careful checklist helps buyers confirm compatibility before ordering.

Confirm Series and Electrical Specification

For drives and inverters, voltage, power rating and phase must be checked. For PLC and CPU modules, series, memory, I/O type and communication interface are often critical.

Check Photos Against the Existing Unit

Product photos help confirm front labels, terminals, ports and module shape. This is especially useful for replacement projects and discontinued series.

Ask About Packing and Availability

New, surplus, refurbished and used stock may all exist in the market. Confirm packing condition, available quantity and lead time before final purchasing decisions.

Watch for Similar Model Numbers

Many automation products use long model numbers where one character changes the voltage, output type, communication protocol or firmware range. Do not shorten the model unless the supplier has the full photo.

Confirm Compatibility Before Price Comparison

A lower price is not useful if the product cannot work with the existing machine. Compatibility checks should come before final price approval, especially for PLC modules and drives.

Prepare Replacement Notes

If the exact model is unavailable, explain whether the customer can accept an alternative series, used unit or equivalent model. This helps the supplier filter realistic options.
